Albion Swine Farm Partners with Top U.S. Pork Production Company
Whiteshire Hamroc entered an agreement in late March which puts them in business with The Maschhoffs. Headquartered in Carlyle, Illinois, The Maschhoffs is the fourth largest hog production company in North America. This represents two families with a long heritage of pig production working together to develop swine genetics.
“This strategic partnership represents over a year of planning and preparation toward an effort that truly extracts the long family heritage in production agriculture and best attributes of both companies,” said Dr. Mike Lemmon, CEO of Whiteshire Hamroc.
“The multitude of synergies in what is now established between The Maschhoffs and Whiteshire Hamroc are much deeper than pigs and genetics – it’s the alignment of people, values and a common objective,” said Dr. Clint Schwab, VP of Science & Technology for The Maschhoffs.
With this new partnership, Whiteshire Hamroc plans to grow its production in the Noble County, Indiana area.
“The Maschhoffs and Whiteshire Hamroc Partnership will enhance our ability to support a fast-moving swine industry and at the same time provide expanded opportunities for our community. We are looking forward to the challenges and opportunities provided by this venture,” added Dr. Lemmon.
